How do I know if I am due a refund?

If we find one or more of your current or former policies are affected, we will contact you by email, SMS and/or phone (or a combination of these) to provide more information and details regarding the refund.

Sometimes, we may not have all the information we need to process your refund. To make sure we're sending the refund to the right person, we'll need to ask you a few questions.


How can I get my refund?

If we’ve recently sent you a communication about providing you with a refund, the quickest and easiest way for us to provide your refund is by clicking the link to the secure refund portal within these communications.

You will need to provide the Refund ID from the communications we sent you and you will be asked a few questions to make sure we're sending the refund to the right person.

  • Supply your preferred bank details for EFT refund; or
  • Donate your refund to a charity

Answering some of your questions

If you have a current or a previous policy which requires a refund we will contact you by email, SMS and/or phone (or a combination of these).

Please look out for an email or SMS from us. This will contain your Refund ID and will direct you to this page and our secure refund portal where you can verify your contact details and either:

  • Supply your preferred bank details for EFT refund; or
  • Donate to a charity

Any correspondence from us will always direct you to this page and our secure portal link. If you’re unsure whether a communication is from us, please do not provide your bank account details or click on any links or attachments.

Your broker, who was acting on your behalf at the time the policy was active has been made aware of this refund. You can ask your broker to contact us if you’d prefer.

Once you have provided your account details your refund will be processed within 15 business days.
You may be contacted separately for each policy.

Where applicable, the refund is inclusive of these charges.

Your refund has been calculated as follows:

The premium refund + Applicable charges (such as Stamp Duty, GST and ESL where applicable) + Interest.

Interest was calculated in accordance with s57 Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth) and r38 Insurance Contracts Regulations 2017 (Cth).
