We’re thrilled to invite our first group of Technology interns to Zurich this year, following the successful introduction of our Actuarial internship program in 2023.

This is a paid internship based out of our head office in North Sydney, offering an exceptional opportunity for personal and professional development.

Over an 8-week program, you’ll be given full support, training, and guidance as you work on real projects across the business, aligned with your development goals. You’ll have the chance to work with our brilliant Actuarial teams across our General Insurance and Life Insurance business. Or with our awesome Technology team if that’s more your style, as we embark on our ambition of becoming the leading digital insurer.

Our 8-week program* will see you partner with experienced and accessible leaders and work with brilliant Actuarial teams across our General Insurance and Life Insurance business. You’ll be given full support, training, and guidance, as you support real work across the business and work towards delivering a customized project aligned with your development goals. This will be a paid internship based out of our head office in North Sydney.

  • Applications open August and close early September
  • Online assessment process starts mid to late September
  • Interview process starts early October and ends late October
  • Offers from late October to early November
  • Internships commence from December to January
  • You must be in your second last year of a university undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • Applicants require a strong academic record with a credit average, or above.
  • You will be a permanent resident of Australia, or citizen of Australia or New Zealand and be living in Australia when you apply with us.

You can apply for one of our programs by submitting an online application form – it’s quick and easy and shouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes! 

In your application, you will be asked what area of the business you would like to intern, so please do your research beforehand. Make sure you also have a copy of your updated resume, most recent academic transcript and a cover letter outlining why you want to participate in Zurich’s Summer Internship program.

Digital Interview

If your application is shortlisted, you will be asked to complete a digital interview through HireVue. The digital interview is your chance to tell us what can’t be put into words on your resume. 

It’s your opportunity to express your interest in Zurich and the role you have applied for. You’ll be asked a series of short, pre-recorded questions and will be required to respond to the frontward facing camera on your computer or mobile. You'll receive an email invite which will have instructions and a deadline of 48 hours - be sure to monitor your emails! You can find some interview tips here.

Online Assessment and Face to Face Interviews

If your digital interview is successful, you'll be invited to complete our online aptitude test through Saville Assessment. Once completed, we will review the results and contact successful candidates to confirm face to face interviews for the program.
