I'm coming in to meet a manager for an interview, what should I wear?
We always recommend that you wear corporate attire for any interviews with us. Your Talent Acquisition Consultant will make you aware of any different dress codes.
How many interviews can I expect?
The number of interviews to which you're invited to will depend on the role you're applying for. Your Talent Acquisition Consultant will advise you during the recruitment process.
What type of interview should I prepare for?
Your Talent Acquisition Consultant will advise you prior to your interview so you are prepared. However, to prepare yourself to be your best, we advise that you prepare for behavioural-based questions, technical questions aligned to the role as well as thinking about your achievements so far in your career, along with your motivations for the role and the values and purpose of Zurich.
If I'm running late or can't attend an interview, who do I notify and how?
Call or email your Talent Acquisition Consultant.
I was unsuccessful for an interview, how long until I can reapply for another role?
You can reapply immediately, although we recommend you consider the feedback you received from your initial interview before reapplying. Are you applying for the right level role, do you have the right technical skills, or is it the right role to bring out the best in your skill set.
Online Assessments
Do all roles have assessments as part of the recruitment process at Zurich?
No.

Why have I received an email from a company called Xref?
Xref is our external reference checking service. We require you to complete reference checks before starting in your role with us. Fit2Work is our external background checking service. We require you to complete certain background checks before starting in your role with us. I don't want my current manager to know I'm looking for a job. Can I provide someone else as a reference?
While we do prefer that the referee details supplied are at manager/supervisor level, a previous manager will be ok. If you're still not sure, please contact your Talent Acquisition Consultant.

Where should I send my contract?
Once you have verbally accepted your new role with Zurich, you will then need to accept your employment contract and complete all your personal details. You can do all of this online via your mobile!
As a new starter do I have an induction day?
Yes. It’s called ‘We are Zurich Induction Day’.
I've applied for a maximum-term contract position. Do I still receive employee benefits, sick leave and annual leave entitlements?
You'll be eligible for most of our permanent employee benefits on a maximum-term contract, as well as sick and annual leave. Please contact your Talent Acquisition Consultant to confirm.
Will you accept CVs from recruitment agencies?
We'll only accept a CV from a recruitment agency if the agency has been formally briefed by one of our Talent Acquisition Consultants for a specific role.
Do I need to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to apply to a role with Zurich?
In most cases you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident to apply for permanent Australia-based roles. Status will be verified as part of our background check process prior to appointment.
Do you offer sponsorship for overseas candidates?
We may offer sponsorship to overseas candidates depending on the role type, level, and eligibility criteria. Please speak to your Talent Acquisition Consultant for more information.
There's no salary information on the job advertisement I'm interested in. How do I find out what the salary is?
The salary is based on the level of responsibility of the role and will be discussed with the successful applicant. If you successfully progress through the initial CV review, you'll then have the chance to discuss salary expectations with your Talent Acquisition Consultant.
Can a friend who works at Zurich refer me to a role?
Absolutely! By referring a friend, not only are they helping us to attract the very best talent, but they are supporting the values of their organisation. They may even be entitled to an employee referral payment!
